Individuals can find out what their business is worth with the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD) next month.
As the state department responsible for boosting the involvement of small, women-owned, and minority-owned businesses in Virginia's procurement process, the Virginia Department of SBSD will host a seminar providing entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools to determine the value of their businesses. Parker and Donald S. Hannahs, CFP of Oceanside Financial Strategies, are among the guest speakers.
There are many factors that affect the value of a company, most of which are easy to control. Among the business planning concerns that will be covered at the seminar are:
● How to increase the worth of a company
● How to determine a value that the IRS might accept
● Five distinct approaches to business valuation
● How different valuations apply to family transfer and sale choices
● What points should agreed upon by companies with multiple shareholders and how to put them in writing
The event is free to attend but the maximum number of participants who can register is 20, so those interested in attending must reserve a spot as early as possible.
