The ‘Veterans Small Business Conference: Veterans transitioning to entrepreneurship’ is taking place this November in Hampton. It is presented by the Small Business Development Center.
The event, which is actually open to anyone who has plans to start their own business whether they have served in the military or not, will feature a variety of discussion topics such as how to structure a company, tax tips, doing business with state and federal governments, marketing, and developing a business plan.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to apply for Micro Small Business Loans of up to $25,000 during the conference; those who wish to apply must bring all of the necessary paperwork. Breakfast and lunch will also be served.
In addition to finding out about how to start their own business, attendees will have the chance to meet their peers and to possibly start new partnerships. Many of those who are planning to attend, who will no doubt come from nearby communities such as Virginia Beach, will probably be placing a new business card printing order with their favorite Print company.
The Veterans Small Business Conference is being held at the Peninsula Workforce Development Center on November 13 from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Admission is $10. To find out more, or to register, contact Mrs. Farley John at 757-865-3128. Get a Free Quote for Print
