‘Sandstock: a Tribute to Rock and Roll’ is taking place for three days this June in Virginia Beach. Proceeds from the event will go to the Virginia Legends Walk.
The festival is set to feature six tribute bands and artists. There will be two stages set up: the Flower Power Stage and the Hippy Dippy Stage. Some of the bands performing will be Skydog (an Alllman Brothers cover band), Green Earrings (a tribute to Steely Dan), Departure (homage to Journey) and Satisfaction (a nod to The Rolling Stones).
In addition, there will be vendors on hand to sell food, drink, and merchandise such as T-Shirts and CDs.
Virginia Beach printing companies may be asked to help advertise this upcoming event. This could include supplying Flyers, Brochures, Posters, and Banners to let the community know about the latest Beach Street event.
The Virginia Legends Walk honors famous Virginian's of the past, making it similar to the walks of fame in Hollywood and Toronto. Some of those who have already been given this honor are Arthur Ashe, Patsy Cline, and Edgar Allen Poe. It is located on 13th Street in Virginia Beach, between Atlantic and Pacific Avenues.
Sandstock will be held at the 24th Street Beach and Park from June 20 to 22. Admission is free.
