Music festival coming to Virginia Beach for another year

The city of Virginia Beach and musical artist Pharrell Williams will present the Something in the Water music festival in the city.

The weeklong festival is for all ages and starts at noon each day, rain or shine. The main event starts on the weekend and requires admission. At the time of writing, over 55 artists are scheduled to perform, including Foo Fighters, Nelly, Chance the Rapper, and Beck.

Local chefs and food trucks will present diverse choices of delicacies. Officials specializing in conservation, health, technology, and media will attend. There will also be a Sober Beach to create a welcoming and healthy atmosphere for everyone, and no alcohol will be allowed in that area.

New to the festival this year is a mobile app, which attendees will need for wristband activation. In addition, the app will supply news about the city. Information about artists, programs, and activities will be available. The app will also provide maps and reminders for users.

General admission $250 for all three days. VIP passes are $600 and include special entry, viewing spaces, charging stations, and complimentary water. Yellow Zone admission is $1,000 and includes stage front viewing areas, backstage access, a patio lounge area with special refreshments, and a complimentary promotional product from the event. Children under six get in free with each adult admission.

The festival starts on April 20 with concerts starting on April 24. It ends on April 26.
