Half-day summit to span a variety of business topics

Regent University and the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce are presenting the Small Business Summit this October in Virginia Beach.

The event is a half-day filled with discussion about almost everything that can influence a business. Guests can choose between three tracks and will learn about making sales, successful marketing, and leadership. There will also be information about health reform and how to apply for, and get, Small Business Administration (SBA) loans.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Marc Wilson, and the summit will end with a luncheon which will feature keynote speaker Helen Dragas who is the CEO and President of the Dragas Companies. Dragas will talk about how she manages to run a successful business at the same time as taking up a community leader position.

This will also be a networking opportunity for Virginia Beach businesspersons. Companies that provide business card printing might find that several new orders will be placed in advance of this event towards this aim.

The Small Business Summit will be held at Founders Inn and Spa on October 2 from 8:00 am - 1:45 pm; with registration getting underway at 7:30 am.
