Festival to celebrate Virginia Beachs winter wildlife

Even though it’s winter in Virginia Beach, there is still plenty of wildlife to watch and enjoy, and during an event that been organized by Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation, the public will have a chance to find out more about them.

The Winter Wildlife Festival will give people an opportunity to learn about the area’s winter wildlife. Tours, which will be led by experienced guides, have been arranged for the weekend of the celebration. Participants will be able to see local birds, observe harbor seals in their natural environment, and much more. There will be a discussion of the different habitats, the animals that call them home and the pressures they face from human activity. Booklet printing can be used to create informational handouts and other materials that can be given to each person who takes part in a hands-on activity such as this.

The guides will provide tips about how to get the most from wildlife observation, and in addition to the tours, there will be an assortment of related presentations and workshops held in the festival exhibit hall. It is open to people of all ages, and is a family friendly event.

The Winter Wildlife Festival will be held from January 20 to January 22 at various locations throughout the city. Anyone who is interested in taking part can find out further details on the Visit Virginia Beach website.
