A symposium has been organized for Virginia Beach that will give veterans an opportunity to learn more about their post-military life.
The 4th Annual Veteran Symposium and Career Fair will include various displays and information about the different service providers who work with Veterans Affairs. This will include those that supply VA home loans, federal employment possibilities, the process of receiving disability compensation, and more. Representatives of Tidewater Community College (TCC) will also be on hand to discuss educational choices for former military members.
Throughout the day, there will be a series of in short sessions where speakers will share details that may be of interest to veterans. It is recommended that those who plan on participating in the day’s activities bring along a copy of their résumé, as employers will be on site. The symposium will be held at Tidewater Community College from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm on October 26.
