Double reggae in Virginia Beach

A concert is scheduled in Virginia Beach that will bring two reggae bands to the city.

Sensi Trails is bringing their Summer Eyes 2021 Tour to Virginia Beach, with their guest, Sons of Paradise. Sensi Trails got together in 2016 and has been blending psychedelic rock, surf, California reggae and straight-ahead rock and roll ever since. The fledgling group dropped an EP in 2017, then frontman/guitarist/founder Kyle Rising decided to move to San Diego from North Carolina’s Outer Banks.

After relocating, Rising joined Jordan Starke on drums and bassist Kaya Hall (aka K-Skunk) to record and drop “Just Livin,” a single that also featured KBong of the reggae band Stick Figure. Mike Root, a keyboard expert, joined the group, adding an additional layer of sound and then John Felice came aboard, handling back-up vocals and lead guitar.

Sons of Paradise is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and is enjoying a meteoric rise. The current lineup of the reggae outfit is Eli Helms on percussion; bassist Logan Maxwell; Diego Avilez handling keyboards and vocals; Tommy Quinn on guitar; drummer Parker Stanley; keyboardist Jordan Gee; and Matt McClanahan on guitar and handling vocals.

A review of Sensi Trails says:

“Completely down to earth guys who write happy good vibes. . . . they did not disappoint.”

The bands will play the Bunker Brewpub on 21st Street on July 9, from 8.00 pm until 11.00 pm. Flyer printing is an effective means to use to advertise events like this.
