Development in Virginia Beach shows no sign of stopping

Virginia Beach is growing for both tourists and citizens. An adventure park has opened and residents have input on future developments.

New zipline park AdventureWorks has opened next to a KOA campground near the ocean in a 60-acre wetland forest. There are nine treetop courses of zi lines for families to try, each with a view of the unique environment. According to AdventureWorks CEO and owner Jennifer Halverson, tours go on the ziplines in groups of 10, so it is possible to experience each course within one and a half hours.

In addition, city officials have introduced an online survey on the Resort Area Strategic Action Plan (RASAP). Virginia Beach implemented RASAP over 10 years ago to boost tourism and the population. The Work Program Architects committee and officials ask residents for updating opinions on the RASAP so they can determine the best future for the city.

Topics on the survey include streetscapes, open spaces, development for residential zones and resorts, mobility planning, gateways, and development projects currently in the works. The survey will be open until July 2 and is available online.

The company created Promotional Products such as T-Shirts for employees to wear. Buying souvenir shirts makes a trip more memorable while advertising the park. Selling products creates more revenue for the company to expand the park and add more attractions.
