Dance to return to Virginia Beach for another year

A Virginia Beach attraction will be the place to be this February for anyone who wants to have fun with their friends while they go a little bit retro.

The Military Aviation Museum has planned an evening that will pay tribute to days gone by. The institution will be hosting its annual Big Band Hangar Dance, and everyone is invited to come to the Virginia Beach Convention Center to join in the festivities. They will be treated to a variety of small bite dishes while they kick up their heels to live music supplied by the Terry Chesson Orchestra.

Those who come to the function in swing dance-style attire will be able to enter the costume contest, and there will also be a silent auction where guests can bid on an assortment of items. A cash bar will be set up for anyone who would like a drink, and the whole event is being held as a fundraiser for the museum. Banners that fit into the overall theme of the occasion can be prepared for a function like this by an area printer.

February 10 has been chosen as the date for this big band-themed evening, and the ticket prices start at $30 each. Tickets can be purchased at the museum, by contacting the organizers at 757-721-7767 or through the fundraiser’s event listing.
