Cookies take over Virginia Beach

The Cookie Cutter Collector's Club (CCCC) is hosting its annual Cookie and Craft Show and Convention in Virginia Beach next month.

These combined events are set up like a marketplace. The public is welcome and admission is free, but guests should bring two dozen or more cookies. Multiple items and crafts, all made by hand, will be available for sale and the theme is Mermaids and Mariners. Cookie decorator and published author Julia Usher is attending.

It will take place over the course of three days at the Hilton-owned Founders Inn and Spa, Tapestry Collection. The address is 5641 Indian River Road. The venue has air conditioning so guests can escape from the summer heat outside. There will be a contest for decorating cookies.

Those interested in selling baked goods, who work with food, or who have a connection to the theme can apply online at the CCCC website or request an application to be mailed to them. Those interested in sponsoring the event are also encouraged to visit the organization’s website.

Sponsors of the showcase and convention include Food Lion, Otter Box, VA Coin Rings, and various cookie cutter vendors. Guests will receive a welcome bag. Vendors and sponsors can donate any Promotional Products that are family friendly.

The convention and showcase will be on June 25 and 26 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and June 27 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
