Colorful holiday parade to take to the street in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach will once again be hosting a special holiday celebration in December.

The Holiday Parade at the Beach will take to Atlantic Avenue, providing a colorful evening for all those who come out. More than 90 different groups will be included in this year’s event. Marching bands playing festive tunes, giant balloons, colorfully lit floats, decorated fire trucks, horses and riders, motorcycles, and dance troupes will all be entering into the happy spirit of the season and entertaining the crowd. At the end of the procession, Santa himself will be making an appearance and greeting the thousands of spectators that are expected join in the fun. The parade route will follow Atlantic Avenue, traveling north from 15th Street to 25th Street. A reviewing stand will be set up at 25th Street and Atlantic Avenue. The event’s organizers are hoping that everyone who comes out will also have a chance to enjoy all that the local area has to offer.
