IT company to double Tysons workforce

Zantech IT Services, Inc., an information technology company, has announced that it will be adding 120 new jobs to its facility in Tysons, which is about five miles from McLean.

Zanteck offers technology solutions to the U.S. government, as well as industry. CEO Zia Islam made the following statement:

"Virginia's proximity to the customers we serve makes this the ideal location for our headquarter offices. It is also a wonderful place to live, which is why over 80 percent of our employees who work in Virginia also live in Virginia."

Zantack is a minority-owned business that was founded in 2007. The company has grown quickly and now its professional services cover the complete IT lifecycle. It competes globally providing program support, system operations, applications development and maintenance, all while primarily being run from the Tysons headquarters.

Additionally the enterprise works with veterans, wounded warriors, and disadvantaged youth, providing education initiatives and mentoring.

The Governor’s office issued a news release explaining that Virginia beat out West Virginia and DC Maryland for the Zantech corporate office expansion, which will create 120 extra jobs while investing $317,853.

Enlarging the number of offices, requiring the hiring of additional employees, inevitably necessitates an increase in the number of Letterheads and Business Cards the company orders.

The Commonwealth of Virginia has the third-highest concentration of high-tech employee in the country.
