New concept in Indian fast food to open in Pearland
Taja Indian, a chain of fast-casual restaurants serving Indian food, will be opening its first location in Pearland later this month.
The Taja Indian menu consists of fresh food made to order. All entrees are made from scratch in less than 10 minutes and at a price of under $10 a dish. The restaurant prides itself on using chicken and lamb free of hormones and antibiotics, and certified organic tofu.
Rashad Alam, who will own and operate the store, commented that he is thrilled to be part of this new concept in Indian cuisine. He wanted to have a restaurant that had a modern look and stood out from others in the market. He believes the brand has much to offer.
President and CEO of the parent company, Amar Singh, added that the restaurant uses a farm-to-table approach using only wholesome ingredients. This, Singh says, is a unique concept with regard to Indian food and he is ready to take this it and expand it across the country.
The word “taja” mean fresh in Hindi. Singh created all the entrees in the restaurant, which were inspired by his family and passed down from generation to generation in India.
Alam and his restaurant might benefit from the use of a local print company to create flyers and other printed materials to promote the new eatery, its cuisine, and its philosophy of using fresh ingredients.
