Pasadena to be treated to native plant sale
As spring approaches, many Pasadena gardeners are preparing for an event that will help them to fill their beds at a budget-friendly price.
The Spring Plant Sale scheduled for the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center will be giving the gardening public two days of browsing and buying. Native plants will be the stars of the show, and the event’s release explained that choosing these species offers many benefits.
The plants on offer have been selected for sale because they offer ease of care and attract pollinators and other wildlife. Many will be drought-tolerant and adapted to local growing conditions, and shrubs, wildflowers, grasses, and trees will all be included. This can make it easy for the gardening public to ensure their yard provides four seasons of interest, as well as food and shelter for local wildlife.
A price list for the various pot sizes has been prepared for the plant sale. These range from $4.50 for a four-inch container to $30 for a three-to-five-gallon size. Horticultural care tags, reusable cloth shopping totes, plant checklist, and other materials for a function may all be sourced from an area printing services company.
The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center has invited one and all to attend its Spring Plant Sale. It will be on offer on April 1 and 2 at 4501 Woodway Drive. Shoppers are advised to use the 610 entrance.
