Residents throughout Pasadena have begun clearing their schedules for an annual festival being held across four days in May. This event provides a means to appreciate the unique culture of the local community, and it features a host of unique on-site events.
The 2026 Pasadena Strawberry Festival primarily focuses on the importance of strawberries in relation to the city's economy. Pasadena has been called the Strawberry Capital of the South, and this event provides a means by which residents can appreciate the importance of fresh produce. The Strawberry Festival has been taking place every year since 1974.
Although strawberry production is certainly one of the main themes, this festival has become extremely eclectic over the past five decades. Other attractions include live mariachi music, mud volleyball, food vendors, a carnival, and the chance to enjoy a slice of the world's largest strawberry shortcake.
Long-established festivals will frequently leverage traditional marketing methods to keep residents informed. Organizers may work in tandem with local printing services, encourage volunteers to distribute leaflets, and hang banner advertisements around the community.
The 2026 Pasadena Strawberry festival is taking place between Thursday, May 14th, and Sunday, May 17th. All events will be held at the Pasadena Fairgrounds located at 7902 Fairmont Parkway. Ticket prices begin at $6 per person, and the itinerary for each day can be found at the official Strawberry Festival website.
