Future Pasadena parents offered learning opportunity
Pasadena parents-to-be who feel like they could use little help and advice may find that an upcoming workshop offers just what they have been looking for. Hosted by SJMC Women’s Center, it will offer practical tips for caring for their little bundle of joy.
The class, which will take approximately three hours, will give future moms and dads a chance to learn and connect with others who are also on the way to being first-time parents. The agenda for the discussion includes a variety of topics related to baby care, and the registration fee is $40.
The couples participating in the class will discover ways to comfort and care for their baby. Diapering, feeding, bathing and cord care will all be reviewed, and the students will find out how they can choose a pediatrician that is a good fit for their family. Each couple will also go home with a copy of ‘The Joys of Parenthood’, and this is included in the workshop’s registration fee.
Taking part in a parenting class like this in the prenatal period can give parents to be the confidence they need to hit the ground running. Supplying them with business cards from professionals who can offer them additional support can help them to enjoy their child’s earliest days.
