At the end of October, several groundbreaking ceremonies were held from planned renovations at Quest Early College High School, Humble Middle School, and a new school called Middle School No. 10. This is the beginning of major works planned for the district’s southern parts. Brochure printing is a great way of illustrating ongoing projects.
The works scheduled for Humble High School include modernizing the library, cafeteria, theater, gym, and the athletics department. The entire project should take until 2022. When it is completed, the school’s campus will have grown to 552,000 square feet from 63,000 square feet.
Quest High School will be operating from its first campus ever, located at what was once home to the C.A.T.E center. The new campus will serve 6,000 students on 3,079 square feet of space, and is expected to open at the beginning of the next school year. For now, students of Quest are learning at Humble High School.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Humble’s Mayor Merle Aaron. He said:
“This is exciting for the city of Humble. This is something we can be proud of- this is the selling point for Humble.”
The new Middle School No.10 is being built to accommodate the rapidly growing population close to Beltway 8, and will start taking students in Fall 2022.
