Humble nature center to host wildlife hike and survey

Next month, the Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center in Humble will hold the Bird Survey and Nature Hike for any outdoor enthusiasts looking to help survey the local wildlife and explore the nature center grounds.

The Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center spans 312 acres, encompassing a wide range of ecosystems from ancient cypress bogs and floodplain forests to white sandy beaches and wildflower meadows. The park contains eight miles of paved trails as well as well as various primitive ones. The nature center hosts many educational programs relating to the ecology and conservation of the land, and the program happening in August is one such example.

The Bird Survey and Nature Hike will take attendees on a two-hour, two-mile hike lead by volunteers and park naturalists. Hikers will learn more about the wildlife in Jones Park and can help the Houston Audobon survey the bird population by using the eBird app on their cell phones. Organizers recommend bringing a reusable water bottle and wearing closed-toed shoes.

Educational activities like this will often come with printed learning materials such as Brochures. Organizers may team up with local Print shops offering deals on brochure printing services to Print these materials in bulk.

The bird survey hike is slated for August 2 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Jones Park is located at 20634 Kenswick Drive.
