The Black & White Ball will take place in Humble this April to raise money for scholarships for local high school seniors preparing to embark on their college journey.
The scholarship gala will be hosted by The Portia Southern Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advocate for families suffering from domestic violence and who may not know their rights. The scholarship fund not only helps local high school seniors achieve college access, but it also supports those teens who come from a domestic violence, abuse, homelessness, or hunger background.
The Black & White Ball, as the name implies, will invite attendees to come out dressed in their best ensemble of black and white formal wear to dance the evening away in elegance. There will be live music from the Next Level Brothers Band, delicious food and drinks, and fun giveaways. 100 percent of the funds raised will go towards the scholarship fund.
Elegant galas like this will often have venues set up with assigned tables complete with fancy place cards. Organizers may seek out the services of local Stationery printers to stock up on these cards.
The gala will be held on April 5, from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. It will take place at the Humble Civic Center, which is located at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway. General admission is $75.
