Tea Party Picnic planned for Houston garden

A botanical garden often brings together plants from all over the world, and one that calls Houston home has an activity on offer that will make everyone on its guest list feel like royalty.

Houston Botanic Garden works to connect the public with the natural world, and its Petals and Princesses program will encourage families to explore what it has on offer. It will be running throughout the morning on its scheduled date, and there will be an assortment of hands-on activities to enjoy.

The kids and parents or guardians that participate will craft wands or tiaras using the botanical materials provided. They can also make their own custom herbal tea mix, and they will be invited to parade their way through the garden before they take their seat for the tea party style picnic. While it's open to all, it’s designed for those aged 3 to 10.

Public gardens and other horticultural venues often serve as reservoirs of biodiversity and also introduce the public to the importance of environmental stewardship by making it fun and accessible. A flyer printing company will be able to lend a hand by providing an assortment of marketing options that can be quite budget friendly.

The Petals and Princesses morning of tea and other treats will be on offer on May 2nd. It will begin at 10:00 am at One Botanic Lane.
