Houston workshop to explore retirement planning

Houston residents who are looking forward to their golden years may want to reserve their spot in a workshop to help them to make the most from their retirement.

Rice University will be the venue for the Retirement Planning Today information sessions, which will be made up of two classes. Anyone interested has two different start dates so they can select the one that is best for them, but should do so soon as spots are limited.

The attendees will be led through an exploration of their own personal finances, which will start with determining how much they will need to save to retire at a lifestyle comfortable to them. They will find out how to eliminate debt and convert their individual retirement arrangements (IRAs), while agenda tips for estate planning, taxes, and dealing with other issues that may crop up are also covered. The participating fee is $49, and the sign-up process can be completed by calling 214-239-4715.

People may really appreciate an opportunity to learn how to make sure their finances are secure for the future. Handouts for a class can be prepared by Stationery printers, and consulted long after the session has finished.

The start dates for the Retirement Planning Today short course will be March 2 and March 8. The location for the sessions will be 6100 Main Street.
