The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center offers those who require a mobility device an opportunity to get out and enjoy the natural world, and they are welcome to be part of an upcoming activity planned for the venue.
The arboretum has plans in the works for an event geared towards those who are age 21 and up. The visit will take place during the evening hours, and both members and non-members can take part.
The session, which has been dubbed “Sip and St(ROLL),” will see ticketholders treated to sips of wine or craft beer brewed by Saint Arnold, and these will be paired with a variety of bites provided by Graze HTX. They can stroll along the accessible trails, and while they do, they can take in the sunset and view the trees and plants in the fading light.
To thank each of the attendees for coming out, they will receive a glass printed with special graphic design. Member tickets are on offer for $40 each, while non-members are being asked to pay $45 per person.
This mobility device-friendly activity will begin at 5:30 pm on Friday, May 10. Anyone who requires additional accommodations not mentioned may contact the organizers at canderson@houstonarboretum.org. Additional details for those with dietary restrictions can be found on the event listing on the Arboretum’s website.
