The Legendary Art Car Ball is returning to Houston next month, hosted by Arts Brookfield.
The event will feature food and drink, musical entertainment, performance art, dancing and lots of costumes. Some of those performing at this year's ball are Sam ‘Shake’ Anderson, The Suspects, DJ Kangaroo Sexy, Gio Chamba, and The Hou Show. There will also be a special display of art cars.
The Ball is just one event taking place in Houston over the second weekend in April. The day after, on April 9, is the 29th annual Houston Art Car Parade, which will take place at Hermann Square from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In addition, there will be food and drink vendors along the route of the parade. For those who want to have a comfortable vantage point, VIP parade passes are available for $150 for adults and $25 for children ages 12 and under. This includes reserved seating, food and drink, and kids' activities.
Organizers of this event will likely work with Houston banner printing companies to decorate the venue with colorful items.
The event will be held at I and II Allen Center on April 8 from 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. To find out more about this event, contact Elaine Dillard at 713-926-6368.
