A Houston event series will be taking movie fans on a trip down memory lane, celebrating the once-popular tradition of enjoying a film in the great outdoors.
The city has crafted its schedule of Movies Under the Stars, and in April, the public will be treated to a screening of the movie “Bolt”. It will be on offer in Market Square Park, and in honor of National Pet Day, well behaved dogs that are leashed are welcome to join the fun.
The individuals and families that come out will be able to set up portable seating or spread a blanket, and they can bring their favorite food or choose a local eatery and pick up some takeout to enjoy while they watch the film. There is no admission fee being charged, and the picture is rated PG. The activity is being offered thanks to support from Downtown Houston Presents.
Attending an outdoor movie screening gives neighbors an opportunity to come together in a spirit of fun, and communities hosting these events often offer other activities to enjoy until the curtain goes up.
