Houston event to celebrate Robert Burns

Houston will be joining cities all over the world when it offers an evening dedicated to the works of a beloved Scottish poet.

The Houston Scottish Rite Burns Supper will soon be returning for 2025. Now a popular local tradition, it will offer an immersive experience, with music, food, and other fun included in its three-hour program.

Guests at the function will be treated to performances by bagpipers, and a traditional haggis will be part of the activity. Burns’s Ode to a Haggis will be read, and there will be other readings of Scottish poetry as well. Anyone who owns a kilt is welcome to wear it and show off their clan’s tartan.

Described as a “unique experience” by its event listing, the doors will open an hour ahead of the program’s start time, and ticket prices begin at $85 per person. Beef, fish, and vegetarian options are all available for the meal.

When preparing for a themed occasion like this, planners may be in the market for specialized decor printing services. These will be available at companies that have the equipment and other technology to prepare oversized items.

The 2025 Houston Scottish Rite Burns Supper is scheduled for Saturday, January 25. It will take place at the HSR Event Center in Houston, and check-in begins at 6:00 pm.
