The 3rd annual Houston Barbecue Festival is taking place towards the end of April, and will support a charity that helps disabled people living in the community.
A limited number of tickets are available, but should be bought quickly as this popular festival has sold out each year. More than 20 of the best barbecue joints in Houston are expected to participate this time round, including Corkscrew BBQ, Papa Charlie's, and the Wooden Spoke. The special guest for this year is Wayne Mueller from Taylor Texas. There will also be live musical entertainment and a bar serving beer and wine.
The admission price includes unlimited food tasting, with each sample measuring two ounces. Those who purchase VIP tickets get in an hour early, receive a T-shirt, and have one free drink.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Vita-Living, which is an organization that provides a number of services and programs for adults and children living with disabilities. It offers residential living, companion care, and help to pay for necessary adaptive devices.
