The Family Business Conference and Achievement Awards are taking place this August in Houston, presented by the Smart Business Network.
The conference is set to include panel discussions, an interactive workshop and keynote speakers such as Lise Stewart of the Gilliard Group. Attendees will also enjoy breakfast, and the day will finish off with the awards presentation.
Nominees were chosen by their fellow business leaders in four categories, including ‘annual revenue over $100 million’ and ‘annual revenue of $10 - $49 million’. To qualify as part of the ‘Class of 2015’, those businesses must have a minimum of two family members working there. In addition to providing business details, the nominators had to answer an essay question on why their choice deserves to win.
This will no doubt be an excellent networking opportunity for Houston businesses of all types. Local business card printing services will probably receive new orders from many of those who are planning to attend. There will be plenty of chances over breakfast and throughout the morning to exchange cards and to briefly discuss business.
