‘Pathway to the Stars, Footprints on Earth’ will be the guiding theme and focus of 100YSS’s upcoming public symposium in Houston.
Various avenues and disciplines are explored, including research, societal systems, technology, and the inner solar system.
New topics are on the agenda this year, such as expanding design views, the creation of new pathways in education, psychology discovery, and new methods in transportation. Enhancing life on earth through an approach consisting of collaborative and trans disciplinary is the initiative for the 100YSS’s 100-year mission.
The call for papers includes topics such as Propulsion and Energy; Data, Communications and Information Technology; Designing for Interstellar; Uncarted Space and Destinations; and Interstellar Education.
Catalog printing is a routine request for conventions and conferences. Presenters and educators can have biographies included in the catalog, and advertising spaces can be sold to offset costs. They can be printed in black and white, limited color, or full color.
Presenter Dr. Mason Peck will join the State of the Universal panel at the symposium. He is the former Chief Technologist at NASA and is currently the Director of Cornell University’s Space System’s Design studio.
The Pathway to the Stars, Footprints on Earth is scheduled to start tomorrow and continue until Sunday, September 21, at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. More information is available via the 100YSS website.
