The 39th Houston World Series of Dog Shows is taking place next month for five days.
There will be breed judging, obedience demonstrations and BHA-licensed barn hunt trials. Dogs will also be demonstrating and competing in agility tournaments,
team flyball, Frisbee catching and canine musical freestyle.
Several clinics and seminars are set to take place on topics such as dog training, pet health and “meet the breeds”. The public can enjoy watching those who are participating in a creative dog grooming contest or the CAP Designer doghouse competition.
The McScotty Market will feature many vendors selling dog and other pet-related merchandise including toys and clothing. Several dog breed clubs will be on hand to provide information to the public. Visitors can also enjoy the Mari Jon Filla Student Art Exhibit.
This event will offer lots of activities for dog lovers to enjoy and will likely attract many of them to Houston. It is probably that the ribbons that will be awarded to competitors will be provided by local printing companies.
The Houston World Series of Dog Shows will be held at the NRG Center from July 20 to 24. Admission on the first night is free and only offers the market and dog breed clubs. From then on daily tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and military personnel. Call 281-536-0528 for more information.
