Rap star to hit the road

A famous artist is heading out on tour, entertaining people in the Bellaire area late next month.

Lizzo is a singer, presenter, rapper, and songwriter. Starting out as a member of several rap/hip-hop groups, Lizzo started her solo career in 2013. Her third album was the one that brought her into stardom. She stays close to her roots, often incorporating her flute skills into performances, and is known for her personal lyrics and relatable personality. A collaboration with the late superstar Prince saw her featured on a trio of songs on his album “Plectrumelectrum.” Some of her hits include “Juice,” “Good as Hell,” “Truth Hurts,” and “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready).”

The Special Tour will be coming to the Toyota Center in Houston. Tickets at the time of writing range in price from $35 to $1,022 across the venue’s site and Ticketmaster. T-Mobile users will have access to specially reserved seats from September 26 to October 12.

Saucy Santana and Latto will serve as the opening acts for the show. Concerts will often have merchandise with a graphic design relating to the performers for sale. Like all events, this show is subject to changes in regard to safety guidelines, although there are currently none in place.

The concert will kick off at 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 26.
