A yearly event is coming back to showcase creative talents in late March, and Bellaire residents are sure to enjoy the experience.
The Bayou City Art Festival is hosting its 54th run this year. The experience is a showcase of the skill and creativity possessed by people from across the United States. More than 250 different artists will be present to display, sell, and talk about their work. Guests can speak to these creators up close and discover the process. There will be artwork from 19 different Forms.
Performers will also be around playing live music during the event. Kids will have special spaces with activities and interactive crafts. Chefs will be doing culinary demonstrations as well. Local trucks will be on hand to provide food.
The festival is put together by the Art Colony Association Inc. The organization is a 501 (C3). They work with local non-profit groups, donating a portion of the gathered proceeds.
Tickets are available through the festival’s website. A VIP pass is $100, or $155 for the weekend. General admission is $20, or $33 for the weekend. Children up to 12 get free entry. Groups of eight or more can get tickets for $17. There is also a spot to make donations.
The venue is Sam Houston Park, located in Houston, which surrounds Bellaire. Many vendors at similar events will get help from a company specializing in business card printing to have something to give out to attendees. The festival will run between 10:00am and 6:00pm on both March 28th and March 29th.
