Bellaire locals and visitors are being invited to the city’s annual Chilly Dip as the new year begins.
Participants will get the chance to enjoy the refreshing tradition of plunging into the pool to kick off 2026. It is an event that often draws families, fitness enthusiasts, and neighborhood clubs.
The organizers welcome swimmers of all ages and levels to this community-focused event, where all participants receive a prize. Local recreational staff will be on site to ensure safety at all times while also providing snacks to help participants warm up after the plunge. However, attendees are urged to arrive early due to the limited changing-room capacity.
Before the start of the event, participants must check in at least 15 minutes prior and sign the consent and waiver form. Parents and designated guardians must also accompany children aged 8-14 into the water. Finally, attendees must swim across the pool and exit within five minutes after taking a plunge.
Registration opens Tuesday, December 2, 2025, and parking will be available nearby at the surrounding Bellaire Town Square lots. Attendees can contact the Bellaire Recreation Center for any questions or clarifications. At events like this, planners may use flyer printing to highlight registration details, event timing, and even pool operations.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Evergreen and Elaine Wood Therapy Pool Complex.
