Bellaire to start 2024 with unique challenge

City officials from Bellaire, Texas have confirmed that they will, once again, be hosting their annual “Chip and Dip” event.

This event, held every year in January, is meant to allow locals a chance to have a good time with a highly unique event, and not to mention a physically challenging one.

Attendees are invited to visit Evergreen Pool – an outdoor pool that is normally closed during the winter months. They can they take a swim in the pool before, braving the cold before exiting whenever they want. After that, individuals who swim can join family and friends for a warm bowl of chili.

This event is sponsored by the City of Bellaire, which invites individuals of all ages can participate in the swim. At the moment, no prizes, contests, or any other competitive portions are listed for the event, but the website notes that more information will be added later. Once details have been confirmed, officials often use flyer printing to give locals an idea of what to expect.

The event will be held on Saturday, January 6, and will run from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. The pool can be found at 4500 Evergreen Street in Bellaire.
