Bellaire area animal charity to hold benefit

The Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston’s Animeals will be hosting its 11th annual Wags & Whiskers Brunch program in mid-February.

This family-friendly event raises money for the ongoing charitable activities of the Animeals organization, which helps fund the meals of pets for more than 1,300 Bellaire and Houston area seniors.

Animeals is a supporter of Greater Good Charities, an organization that works to amplify the good works of other local charities.

According to event officials, the event is more than just a lunch, as it will include a celebrity fashion show featuring pets from across the Houston area in their finest outfits and costumes. Officials have announced that the event hosts are Chairs Shirin and Saeid Alavi, as well as Dr. Vasant Garg and Dr. Kim Tran.

In addition to being able to bring human guests, individuals who buy tickets may also be able to bring their pets, although interested parties should contact event organizers before doing so.

The event is being held on Saturday, February 17, and will run from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm and the Hotel ZaZa, which is located at 5701 Main Street, in Houston – just outside of Bellaire, Texas. Tickets are $250 for an individual and $500 for a couple. There are larger sponsorships available that come with event recognition and the ability to pass out Promotional Products at the event.
