Young and old amateur boat builders are invited to come out and enjoy a festive regatta next week.
Participants at the 25th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta will be required to design, construct, and navigate their cardboard crafts in Hurricane Harbor’s large wave pool as part of the proceedings. The organizers of the event may have used services like flyer printing to spread the word to residents about this fun-filled day.
Spectators are invited to go along and cheer on the crews as they fight the waves in their tiny cardboard boats. This is a family event and features a number of activities for people of all ages. In the children’s area, activities include Hook’s Lagoon, the Tornado Ride, the Whale Sail, and a hula-hoop competition.
All proceeds from the regatta will benefit the River Legacy Foundation’s educational programs. Boat entry ranges from $50 to $80. Admission to the children’s area is $5 per child and is for children aged 4 to 12.
Admission to this event is $6 per person if purchased in advance, or $8 the day of the event. It takes place on Wednesday, April 26, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor located at 1800 East Lamar Blvd. in Arlington, Texas. To learn more, or to register a boat, visit the River Legacy website or call 817-860-6752.
