Set to be located at The Parks retail center in the city, it will become the company's first location in the U.S. that is based outside of California. It will also become the biggest site for the firm.
Round1 Bowling & Amusement has taken up around 70,000-square-foot of mall space, which is set to be filled with a minimum of 24 bowling lanes.
There will be a great deal more than that at the center though, with it understood to also offer a 300-game arcade floor. With local printing companies likely to be engaged to help with the launch, the floor will also have ping-pong tables, darts, and billiards.
A food hall will also be built at the center alongside a licensed bar.
Once built, the center will become Round 1's largest site and it is hoped that it will prove to be a success for the firm and for Arlington. The senior vice president for the U.S. side of the firm, Shane Kaji, said:
“A company from Japan has the luxury of offering all the newest technologies of the Asian market and the domestic market.”
With an expected completion date of October, the center is hoping to open every day from 10:00 am through 2:00 am and employ about 60 local people.
