Mt. Juliet rides the Milligan

Many cyclists here in Mr. Juliet will be heading to the 3rd annual Big Hill Challenge, which is now the Milligan in early June.

The ride has changed its name to remember Alyssa Milligan who was killed by a motorist back in 2023.

There will be two distances - a 62.2-mile Metric and a 31.5-mile half metric. Each race costs $50 and both will start at the same time - 7:00 am. Swag will include event T-Shirts.

Registration will run from 6:00 am to 7:00 am and printed maps will be distributed at that time. The Ride will begin at 7:00 am.

Races that have printed maps usually get the maps printed at local printing services.

Rest stops will have bathrooms, bike racks, cooling stations, mechanical support, hydration and snacks. Road marshals, SAG vehicles, and radio communications will be on both routes. Back at the Gladeville Community Center, returning riders will receive free lunches.

Part of the proceeds from the ride will go to Families for Safe Streets - Tennessee a group that supports loved ones and victims of biking or walking accidents.

The $500 Aluminum, $1000 Carbon Fiber, and $1500 Titanium sponsors need to get their banner printing done so their Banners can be hung at the lunch venue and in the registration area.

The Milligan will take place June 13th at the Gladeville Community Center, 95 McCrary Road in Gladeville just south of Mt. Juliet.
