Breeden's Orchard here in Mount Juliet will be hosting its annual Half-Toberfest in mid-May.
Half-Toberfest will be a two-day blend of a Tennessee spring festival with a Bavarian Oktoberfest appropriate for both adults and families. The North Grove Bierhall will be a shaded area of communal tables adjacent to live music. The East Grove Bierhall will be a high-energy open-air zone, and the North Grove Double-Wide pathway will be a beer garden corridor excellent for strolling. The Farm Market Patio will feature relaxed seating, food and beverages.
Live bands will be entertaining in the bierhall zones and on multiple stages. The Outdoor Classroom Arena will be holding stein-holding contests, hay bale tosses and other contests for the children, log-sawing races, barrel-rolling challenges and pretzel-eating competitions. Other contests will challenge farmer feats of strength.
Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their dirndls, and lederhosen. German-inspired crafts, orchard market goods and festival merchandise will be available for purchase.
Many festivals like this often have event logos or graphic designs printed on their merchandise at local Print shops.
Admission will be $22 and will include entry to the festival, one pretzel and one cider, beer or non-alcoholic drink.
Half-Toberfest 2026 will take place Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, at Breeden's Orchard, 631 Beckwith Road. The host recommends arriving before 11:00 am to get good seats in the bierhalls and to avoid the crowds.
