Mount Juliet ready with Christmas Parade

More than 40,000 spectators are expected to attend the Mt. Juliet Christmas Parade coming in mid-December.

The new 1.4-mile route will begin at West Wilson Middle School. The procession will then go north on Mr. Juliet Road and finish near Veteran's Park at East Division Street.

No candy will not be thrown from the floats this year due to safety issues. Parade participants may hand candy directly to spectators as they walk with their units.

This year's grand marshal will be retired astronaut Berry Wilmore, and this year's theme will be Santa's Workshop. Santa will be bringing up the rear.

Groups and other marching units often get colorful banner printing done at local print shops days before the parade and place banners out in front of them as they march to introduce them to spectators.

Mandatory drivers and float representative meetings will take place at the Juliet Community Center gymnasium December 11th and 12th at 6:00 pm.

Line up for the parade will run from 7:30 am to 9:30 am, and at 10:45 am a prayer and moment of silence will be held for Rowan Ace Frensley, the 7-year-old boy who fell from a trailer and was killed by a truck in the 2019 Christmas parade.

This year's 2025 Christmas Parade will take place beginning at 11:00 am on Saturday December 13th. If the weather becomes inclement, the parade will be postponed to Sunday, December 14th beginning at 1:00 pm.
