The Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Golf Invitational next month. Fees will go to support the chamber and therefore local business.
The tournament is a four-man scramble, and fees are $650 each for Chamber members and $1,500 for nonmembers. All participants will receive lunch, the use of a golf cart, free beverages on the course, and a swag bag filled with samples and promotional items. The fees also include the awards presentation reception and door prizes.
This event depends heavily on sponsors to provide items like beverages, the swag bag, and hole Signs. Prices range from $250 to have logos on the swag bag up to $10,000 for the presenting sponsor. Sponsors will be recognized on the course with signage and their logos will be printed on the bag.
Golf tournaments like this one in Memphis are usually excellent networking opportunities for local business leaders. It is likely that business card printing firms may find an increase in orders leading up to this event so that participants have plenty of cards to exchange with their peers.
