Like many cities, homelessness is an issue faced by Memphis. The city has decided to take action, and during an upcoming event, residents will be invited to have their say on the matter.
A public forum is being set up for this September, and the community is encouraged to book their seat now. The panel that will be discussing the issue will include several subject matter experts and stakeholders, and will be moderated by Dr. Steven Cook.
Along with the panel, Kathy Izard, an advocate for the homeless in North Carolina, will address the public during the session, and the goal is for the attendees to look at the issue of homelessness form a variety of perspectives. There is no cost to attend, and the organizers are hoping there will be a big turnout. Second Baptist Church, which is located at 4680 Walnut grove Road will be the venue for the function, and it will begin at 6:00 pm.
Since an event like this can draw a variety of stakeholders, it can be an important part of tackling an issue and finding actionable solutions. Promoting it to the public can ensure that as many as possible will know where and when it will be taking place, and flyer printing can help make this happen.
The Homelessness Here and Now Public Forum has been scheduled for September 10th. Additional details are available on its online event listing.
