Popular festival returns to Memphis area

The Germantown Festival is returning to the Memphis area for the 43rd year this September for two days.

There are many different activities to take part in during the festival that will appeal to people of every age. There are expected to be over 400 arts and craft vendors from the area and beyond selling items such as handmade jewelry, clothing, and home decor. There will also be children's activities like rock climbing, balloon animals, and face painting. In addition, there is set to be a car show, community displays, and musical performances by groups such as the Rhythm Rocket and the Emma Webb Band. Food will also be available for purchase, as will festival T-Shirts.

One popular event will no doubt be the Best Dressed Hot Dog Contest for dachshunds, where prizes will be awarded. This will be followed by the Running of the Weenies race. Both of these events are sponsored by the Germantown Animal Shelter.

Visitors from all over the area, including nearby Memphis, are sure to flock to this free festival. Local printing companies may be asked to provide items like Flyers for advertising, which can then be distributed in a variety of ways.

The Germantown Festival takes place at the Germantown Civic Club Complex from September 6th to 7th. To find out more about planned activities at the festival, call 901-757-9212.
