Popular annual fair returns to Memphis

The 42nd annual Pink Palace Crafts Fair is being held in Memphis for three days this October, and is a fundraiser for the museum hosted by the Friends of the Pink Palace.

The fair is a juried one and is said to be the largest of its kind in the Mid-South. This year, it is set to feature more than 250 artists and crafters selling items such as handmade jewelry, paintings, photographs, and clothing. There will also be a craft demonstrations tent where guests can see the process involved in such skills as weaving, rug hooking, and candle making. As well as offering exposure for the artists, it will allow the public to find unique items to purchase.

Food vendors will also be on hand, and there will be a range of children's activities, such as spin art, pinch pots, a kids’ train, and a petting zoo.

Vendors and artisans might choose to work with Memphis Print companies to help decorate their booths and attract more attention. This might include investing in services like sign and banner printing.

The Pink Palace Crafts Fair is taking place at Audubon Park from October 10 to 12. Admission is free of charge. To find out more about the event, or to become a vendor, call 901-636-2362 or visit the Pink Palace Museum's website.
