Memphis workshop to help create pollinator-friendly spaces
A Memphis workshop hopes to show that it can be possible to attract pollinators to a space without sacrificing its beauty, and interested green thumbs are welcome to register now for the activity.
One of Memphis’s Master Gardeners will be sharing his expertise when it comes to attracting pollinators, and while bees may be at the top of the list, there will be other species discussed as well. There is no registration fee, and the attendees will discover how they can have a wonderful garden that is also a home for some wild creatures.
During the workshop, Master Gardener Michael Short will share tips for attracting bees, butterflies, birds, moths and other pollinators, including why it is important to supply them with safe places to feed, shelter, and rest. He will also offer ideas for choosing plants that can be as pretty to look at as they are attractive to wildlife, catering for both newbies and experienced green thumbs alike.
Upon home time, those who take a seat for an event like this often appreciate receiving printed plant lists and other learning materials. These can be sourced from printing services suppliers, and can be paired with an assortment of promotional products.
Memphis’s Collierville Public Library is set to offer this workshop to members of the community this Saturday, February 29. Anyone with questions has been asked to call 901-853-2333.
