A call has gone out to Memphis gardeners that a local charitable organization will be bringing its plant sale fundraiser back for another year, and they may want to check it out in person.
A wide selection of species and cultivars of landscaping plants will be on offer in the Volunteer Plants Sale scheduled for the Lichterman Nature Center. The release for the occasion explained that they will all be strong and healthy, and since they are grown and hardened off in the local area, they will be well suited to the current growing conditions.
The species on sale range from native species that can be grown to attract pollinators, to others that are planted for their floral beauty. There will be options for almost any size plot and budget, and many will be highly attractive to butterflies and birds. Herbs will be included, and discounts will be on offer for center members.
To help make this horticultural activity a success, the planners are looking for community-minded volunteers to lend a hand. A printer can prepare special Corporate Gifts to offer each helper to thank them for choosing to get involved.
The Lichterman Nature Center will be holding its annual plant sale fundraiser on April 22 and 23 at 3050 Central Avenue. It will begin at 9:00 am on both days.
