Grilled cheese sandwiches are a comfort food for many, and some of Memphis’s top chefs will be serving up their own unique version of this well-loved dish, all in support of a local animal rescue group.
The annual Memphis Grilled Cheese Festival will offer lots of gooey goodness, and will serve as a fundraiser for Alive Rescue Memphis. There will also be a cash bar, and it will be held rain or shine. To date, more than 4,000 people have attended the festival, and over $13,000 has been raised for the animal rescue.
The festival is still in the planning stages, and the organizers are accepting applications from any food service providers, including food truck operators, that would like to get involved. There are also spots for vendors and many tasks that will need to be performed by volunteers, and a call has been put out for them as well.
