Memphis event to light up early spring sky
As another winter turns to spring and the days lengthen once again, an event will light up the evening sky in Memphis. It will feature thousands of shining water lanterns set afloat in the waters at Riverside Park, and the whole family is welcome to be a part of the experience.
The city is invited to unite for the ‘1000 Lights Water Lantern Festival’, and it promises to be a magical occasion. The gates will be open to the public starting at 5:00 pm, and when they arrive, they will be greeted with lots to see and do.
Several food trucks and local vendors will be on site for the event, and there will also be entertainment and special activities just for the kids. Ticket holders can assemble and decorate their own lantern, and at 8:00 pm, they will be launched.
While there will be options for parking, the planners of the function have asked for people to carpool if they can. Attendees are welcome to bring along their own food and soft drinks, but outside alcohol is not permitted. Along with this, ticket holders may wish to bring a chairs and blankets to sit on.
An event like this can bring a lot of positive energy to a community. A printer will be able to help market it to the local area through the use of poster printing and other techniques.
Martin Luther King Jr. Riverside Park will be the venue for this occasion, and it has been planned for April 20. More information is available by contacting the planners at support@1000lightsfestival.com.
