Memphis classes to bring the whole family into the kitchen

Preparing a meal can be a fun way to bring the whole family together, and a Memphis program will help parents enjoy time in the kitchen with their kids.

Nutritious meals will be the order of the day during the Church Health’s Family and Children cooking classes. The whole family will get involved in the food preparation, and the Menus have been planned to be both healthy and economical.

The program involved a series of six classes, and each of these will last for two hours. It is open to kids who are age 7 to 15, and they will need to be accompanied by an adult. For safety reasons, the organizers have asked that all those who participate wear shoes with closed toes. Then planners also noted that families with a child who is over the age of 15 are welcome to participate in one of the Community Cooking Classes that they offer.

These lessons will be offered free of charge, and each will run from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A printing services provider will be able to supply bound Copies of cookbooks to distribute during an event like these.

The first of the classes has been scheduled for next Tuesday, June 19, and they will wind up on July 31. They will be held at 1350 Concourse Avenue in Memphis.
