The annual Elvis Presley Birthday Celebration is taking place in Memphis for four days in the near future, since January 8, 2015 would have been his 80th birthday.
Taking place in the city where Presley spent most of his live, the event will kick off with a birthday proclamation to be followed by several events to take place at several city venues. A special Elvis Insiders reception will also be held, where fans can enjoy hors d'oeuvres and cash bars before taking a tour of several locations that were important to the iconic singer.
Other events that will take place over the four days include an Elvis dance party, Conversations on Elvis, a concert by the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and birthday coffee and cake on his actual birthday.

The Elvis Birthday Celebration will be held from January 7 to 10, with Graceland being the center of operations. The Elvis Insiders reception will be held on January 7 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and tickets are $49 for adults and $26 for children between the ages of 7 and 12.
